This not a good idea if you have doubts about human progress; better to go slow with use of those precious resources that can not be recycled. Many are also caustic pollutants that are eliminated in the oceans. They instead become a toxic part of the food chain!

What is needed in Ontario is a safe residential area for those who suffer from EMF / RF microwaves
No not too far away from people!
Being next to a Provincial Park an EMF free zone in Port Franks would not only be prudent but help protect the birthing process of natural life (including humans, who are yet to understand the associations between advanced media technology and damage to birth .... Something you would think the churches would say more about ... Go to church in some cities and have your DNA scrambled?)
Pathetic protest to reverse an irreversible decision by otherwise thoughtful people!
Who cares? Who watches over our residential areas and forests? Apparently, the numbers are so small as to be very worrying for the future of Ontario as a diverse habitat!
The new threat you can see, but very few understand or foresee the liabilities and the consequences and least of all Minister Paradis in his comfortable Ottawa office!
Freezing cold wind from the North!
Can you see my eagle with its enormous wingspan?
Crows were annoyed that this big bird just swooped down and just grabbed a fish from the cold waters of the Provincial park here at the Pinery near Port Franks, Ontario! Picking away on a branch with a largish crow wanting to be rid of this intruder. Yes, and so it seems the silent majority of human beings that permit such intrusion into parklands.
Problem for the future of these creatures are the new sophisticated cell towers near the park that may result in few eggs and hatchlings, certainly over the long period! Not sophisticated enough in foresight nor technology when Bell Canada wants their cake and to eat it too! Who said the media cared for our natural world?
We see deterioration of the habitat of wild creatures, but we don't foresee what hurts them the most, which is really what is needed to help them thrive. It is we who are ignorant of the hidden necessities for sustainable and diverse habitats.
Rallying for an ERA | Local | News | Sarnia Observer
You see some pretty sophisticated expensive looking equipment on the new new new Port Franks tower. What you don't see is the resident eagle being chased by angry crows. The big issue is that the tower sits proximate to residences and rare natural life.
Yes! In my view both human and natural life will die prematurely because of the cell tower's beacon silently and invisibly emitting radiation that gives no rest to life. When we see the long term effects, which will be like three D erosion of growth or the effect of steady ultra violet light on the colour of our carpets in sun light, we will begin to see why we die prematurely. Forget all the omega 3 diets, the technologists have discovered how to offset that with constant radiation eating away at our genetic material from the inside. Our leaves generate more slowly, our tadpoles struggle more to just be born, our rare species just disappear quietly and silently as if they never existed.
Ontario residents hardly notice how much the natural growth of their once beautiful world has eroded over the past fifty years. Who cares? Who is watching?
I think we are not very smart at all, which means for me that we use technology to soften our perceptions of how rapidly we are destroying the many wonderful landscapes and habitats of creatures we scarcely ever notice!
Bye, bye Ontario! You were so beautiful, but less and less.....

Someone at NBC Is Embarrassed By Jay Leno's Latest Jokes
Talk of giving Jay an early push surfaced again because of his recent pointed jokes concerning NBC's rating performance etc.
Leno is Leno not Leno controlled by stifling NBC oversight. That's the way we baby boom viewers like it!
Leno has always had my respect because he was not afraid to crack jokes about his bosses. Wouldn't most people like to do that and about their own bosses.
So maybe this is an individual performance issue and Leno struck a nerve. NBC could do better, but its hard to see how the tonight show could be improved.
Personally, I really would not watch Fallon if he were moved to an earlier time to replace Leno. Would not be the first time NBC made a big mistake.

We all know that an economy long long based on property speculation was not a viable long term strategy. Britain struggles to re-invent its economy! It's now clear that the economy faces a slow uphill battle to diversify into new forms of service and high tech products based on science and R and D rather than the quick fix housing market that really does nothing to develop the economy.

Armory Open Forum: Three New Art Collecting Trends - Forbes
We are only scratching the surface of potential!
Safer Internet Connection / Safer Emergency Messaging Connection .... Just some ideas?
People ask me about the EMF dangers from my using an iPad!
After my discussions with radiation specialists at Cambridge University in the UK last autumn, I am very concerned about my personal use of wireless devices such as my iPad. The science since Dr. Frey's studies in the 1970's is very young and so far not comforting at all.
There are several wireless radiation concerns. The most serious is the steady beacon radiation coming from an antenna that is telling a receiving antenna on your device that it wishes to engage.
One has no control over the beacon, except as it is WIFI in one's home. For that you should unplug your WIFI every evening and when you do not wish to use it. Intermittent radiation is what we are being forced to live with.
On one's iPad, you need to turn on airplane mode which is almost the equivalent of switching off your iPad as far as the transmitting beacon (elsewhere) is concerned. You can turn your iPad or iPhone into a beacon by tethering, which lets other WIFI enabled devices know your iPad will talk to it. Alternatively, the iPad comes equipped with a blueray antenna that communicates to a camera, printer, another iPad or iPhone, or keyboard ... It's easy to turn off your own devices. In addition, you have satellites that your device can lock onto, which send their beacon radiation. Such radiation you cannot escape except by being within a sheltered area. It is now accepted that low level radiation can alter DNA (molecular structure) which is believed to happen through minute alterations in magnetic fields.
You will also be aware that the earth is a giant magnet and all creatures are affected by the earth magnetic field. Because it has been in existence for at least 4.6 billion years, we assume that it plays an important role at the smallest levels and is used by cells of life.
In addition, we are constantly bombarded by radiation from other stars in the Milky Way and other galaxies. Such rays have been proven to shape and cause patterns in lightning and may be occasionally responsible for location of rain, tornadoes, tall clouds and violent storms. Some electromagnetic fields affecting lightning within violent storms stretch fifty or more miles high into the higher elevation sphere. In addition the sun cyclically emits electromagnetic fields and rays that can weaken the EM shield of the earth against strong damaging cosmic rays from elsewhere in the billions of galaxies surrounding our own.
It is thought by many scientists that genetic mutations have arisen because of such radiation ... so much for the stagnant theories of evolution. Life on earth may have evolved / diversified because of alterations in electro magnetic fields produced by swings in strength of cosmic rays as the earth's electromagnetic field altered due to sun spot variations?
In short, my iPad, I can switch off or put away, but this will not protect me from the ambient radiation coming from beacon antenna activity. I liken EMF radiation so produced to second hand smoke. You may die from it , but there's not much you can do about it.
Nevertheless, the main issue and danger is EMF beacons, not the chatter of iPhones and iPads! Minimise your exposure to WIFI and to cell towers.... not possible! You are cooking...
Swisscom was to have been working on safe WIFI for the home. I am not sure how this would work.
We need small wired iPads and iPhones that really shield us from the beacons we have control over. I am sure they will appear as a choice from Apple, Google and Samsung or whichever! In many ways we are a recipient of technology, neither it's designer nor controller. However, my telling you of my concerns is like a catalyst because I know you will not keep quiet about this concern we share!
All it would take initially is a very simple device that works through the electricity system in your home which provides you with Internet and data sharing capabilities. When you plug in you would be connected to the Internet. Such a system would work in schools etc.
As for emergency communication, these might be better channel through satellite communication devices for police, fire, ambulance etc.

'Bob' Chapman
Eric!
It is with deep sadness that I read in the Kincardine Independent this morning that Bob had died. I have vivid memories of Bob as a teenager being left in charge of the enormous Chapman variety store on Queen Street as his father, Harry, ran errands of sorts. My thoughts are of his absolutely amazing forbearance of us kids, ten years or more his junior. He manned the till at Chapmans standing behind the counter where all the candy and 'naughty' magazines were arrayed. He was like a hawk surveying his domain, his eyes glued to our slightest movement. We were only a bit afraid of him, but we knew deep down he and all the Chapmans were the most generous of people, to a fault! For although he was regularly in charge of the Chapman 'wealth', those many aisles stacked to the ceilings with eye popping treasures, he had a heart of gold. I am ashamed to say that I tested him out on this very weakness. One hot summer's day in July 1955 arriving up from the beach in mid afternoon with only towel and swimsuit, I marched up to the candy counter, and knowing Bob was watching me closely, lifted up a variety packet of lifesavers, held them to Bob's face and boldly declared, "I got these at Steadmans", then walked out of the store. Somehow, I knew that Bob would not give chase. I still puzzle in my mind this tolerance that the Chapmans had for us kids. They were truly amazing people, and for me Bob stood there at the top of the list as one of Kincardine's nicest. His death is truly a loss to the community and certainly many of us who were around at the time will have fond memories of how well we were watched and generously treated as children. My heart goes out to the Chapman, Robinson, and Hughes families at their loss of such an interesting man.
