Visit to the London Book Fair

As I said to the woman struggling to prepare my name tag, "If anything could go wrong today it has."

"I can't find your name?"
(I had the details in an email on my iPad)
"This terminal isn't working!"
"Let's try those computers over there!"

I would have taken this in my stride, but for:

..My hotel not having my reservation!
(I had details in an email on my iPad)
..My hotel making me wait for an hour before assigning me a room.
..My hotel assigning me a room up four flights of stairs.
..Finding the room assigned had not be vacated, yet I walked in on all that guests belongings?!
..Waiting for a reassignment of room.
..The London underground having a fire on the Green Line.
..Some idiot running on the underground track!
..Waiting for assignment of a train slot to arrive at Earls Court.

I give thanks for my iPad. My trip would have been much more costly without it. Why should I the customer have to provide anything other than my name?

The Book Fair this year is brilliant, especially graphic books (comics) but the other books that I would like to see are missing and that is quite a disappointment.

Don't moan I say....It's partially good!

Whatever your beliefs, there is no end to motion, just evolution and unrelenting change, seen or unseen. Energy is motion both in reality and calculation. Take time to rest even though all inside you is always moving. Your massive relative pause gives opportunity for other smaller streams to catch up. Take time to meditate so that you can see with your mind what lies within and beyond.

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth. ... more!
