Bridge collapse in Washington state sends cars and people into water | World news | guardian.co.uk

Hi PIL participant!

Thinking of Jim's great series on bridges! The collapse of the Washington bridge shows how difficult it is to build a lasting bridge?

There is an iPad game called "bridge constructor" that let's you build a bridge and then drive trucks over it. You are given a budget and plan the materials etc yourself. Often the bridge falls down even before the vehicles get on the bridge?

I have watched many bridges collapse because the game is a challenge!

One has to ask these questions of Harper so I am fully in line with this Liberal party request from Justin Trudeau's group

Subject: Ask Mr. Harper to come clean

Le français suit l'anglais

Arthur --

Secret deals. False expenses. Cover ups.

This is not what Canadians expect from their government -- or the Prime Minister. Canadians deserve better.

If you want Mr. Harper to come clean about what he knows -- please sign and share this petition.

Why Mr. Harper's top advisor gave a Senator $90,000 to repay inappropriate expenses isn't the only question Canadians want Mr. Harper to answer.

Over 2,000 Canadians sent us questions to ask the Prime Minister in Question Period -- questions like why is it getting harder for young families to afford housing, groceries and utilities.

I'll start asking those questions next week when Mr. Harper comes back from South America.

In the meantime, let's get the answers Canadians deserve on the PMO ethics scandal.

Please sign and share this petition now:

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth. ... more!
