It does not take too much imagination to project ahead a few generations to a point were guns foster revolution within America then disgruntled unemployed overturn democracy leading to a state armed to the teeth. If it can happen in Somalia, it can happen in America. America's loose gun laws are arming the future revolutionaries who use drugs as a way to whittle down resistance to democratic institutions and pave the way to chaos on the streets. The gun lords keep upping the ante! Legally?

You have to have an intuition that this is the right course. One sets oneself apart from the rest of the world only to put at risk future generations. It's, however, not common sense in a world focused on the short term!
