Does ever rising mobile use increase our cancer risk? | Irish Examiner

Why worry?

Very Irish take on cell phone cancer link and associated risk!

Cancer comes at the end of the body's battle against a host of different factors that destroy the equilibrium of the human immune system. We know so little really about cancer, but that has become the lynch pin as to whether we should be worried about cell phones and associated radiation.

This is not an easy problem. The issues are complex, but have mainly to do with building an environmental infrastructure that is irreversible and contaminating at the same time.

Let there be no mistake! Radiation is a contaminant.

While we are focused on cancer a host of general diseases gather force. Cancer is at the cumulative end of the body's battle against cellular deterioration arising from radiation.  We may not be aware of how effectively to study the effects of microwaves.

We do know that people have had multiple cancer instances on their body associated with location of cell phones.

We do know that some people seem to be more vulnerable than others. Society tends to work with the average rather than the weak and vulnerable.

We know that cell phones are not a homogenous entity. Some phones may pose more of a risk than others.

We know cancer hangs on as a prevalent disease and seems to cluster in areas where there are high radiation readings over extended periods.

We don't know how robust the human body is to different forms of radiation over extended periods.

We do know some people are highly sensitive to microwaves from cell phones and cell phone towers. We don't know very much about why or how this emerges. Possibly, there is a tipping point arising from such effects as cloud water density or air pressure, solar wind, cosmic rays. Measurement of the contribution of different factors in various forms of blood and brain disease is extraordinarily complex!

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth. ... more!
