Violence begets violence!
Sneaky violence as in terrorism has roots that go very deep!
Police chief's attitude is a reflection of the problem? Keeping the information secret about motivations and ending the research into why and 'root causes' will not stop this sort of thing from happening again?
Can the American legal system cope with the strangeness of terrorism and its roots, or do they see the answer always in violence that leads to more violence and perpetuation of hatreds. Best to understand the systemic and root causes of violence at some point in order to end the life cycle of bad behaviours!
Death is not an answer, more information and credible understanding of the why of the issue is!
Govern with a head and a heart for the long term... Especially, if you are not directly destroyed or injured!
