Kosher

There's a Scot and a Jew who are the best of friends. The Scot is a little bit hard of hearing and both are very hungry. It's been a hard year, and there is famine around. "What are you going to do about your next meal?" says the Jew to the Scot. The latter looks at the ground and thinks a while then replies, raising his head to the Jew with a very sad face, "I think that I will have to eat my dog." The Jew looks alarmed and responds quickly, "Is your dog kosher?" to this the Scotsman replies without raising his eye brows, "Of course, he's cultured, he's Scottish!"
