Leaders can't always be held responsible for dissent. Climate change deniers may grow in numbers through the efforts of established businesses to deceive the public. In some countries, its government that holds people back. In the USA its big business, much of which is anti-American multinationals out of offshore pretending to be American patriots, all the time laughing their way to the bank. By keeping America ignorant of what real progress means, they fleece Americans much more easily for longer and longer, like the old combustion oriented firms, GM, Ford, Esso, Mobil et al, or Monsanto and .....
Don't rush your best ideas. Grow them....
