Re: Living within our means ... The Ontario Conservatives Plan ...

Thank you. I have read your plan for Ontario and it is not nearly as good as it needs to be. In fact, it fails for a host of reasons.

Things are not bad because of who did them. That is stupidity beyond belief.

I think, we may fall into the trap of thinking austerity does not destroy lives and hard earned progress, in our case almost 800,000 people would seem to be pawns in a ruthless calculus of accounting magic. I am disappointed that the PC proposals are not more pragmatic and seem to be ideologically biased.

Far be it for me to criticize your platform, but you don't seem even to get the economics correct, let alone the sociology or the business process, or the ideology.

Conservativism really does need to be progressive. How can you or Ontario progress without the best in education and green energy?

Forget what the Liberals have done, and do your own magic, but without the ideology which quite honestly is a straw man.

Your idea of balancing the budget is not good business finance for a whole list of reasons. You mix up current spending with capital spending and don't seem to understand basic concepts of human capital. Your sociology is poor and seems racially biased.

You need to keep your employment levels in Ontario where they are and figure out how to really create the million new jobs on top of what you already propose.

I don't see this happening without good economics skills which you seem to have a dirth of.

I can't vote for an empty conservative plan. Sorry, you get an F.

If we are going to get Ontario working better, we need to be honest and start living within our means.

If our government were a family with an annual income of $50,000, they would have $112,500 in credit card debt and would be adding $5,000 to their credit card bill every year. Irresponsible, right?

That's not how ordinary Ontarians live, and it shouldn't be how our government operates.

The first step to creating jobs and enhancing front-line services is balancing the budget.  The path will not be easy, but it will be worth it because there is a brighter, better future right around the corner.

Get the Million Jobs Plan for the details on how we will make it happen.
