Ukraine shows restraint even as fightback against Russia begins | World news | theguardian.com

The West / World should not allow Russia to take over the Ukraine by force because Russia is such a backward political economy and lacks the enforcement and rule of democratically achieved law of even a very ordinary democracy. Saying it is a democracy is a farce like the Russian peasantry saying they are free.... 

Russia lags the world in the farce it calls a democracy.
