What If Every Worker Made What City of Irvine Workers Make? | Union Watch

There are so many people and jobs that this is very difficult to imagine let alone analyse!

This is the 'wL' of the economy model!  Assume 'w' is a vector of income rate ranges and 'L' is a matrix of types of jobs (columns down) and those filling the jobs appearing in the income rate range (rows across).  Even if the amount of wL increases that tells you little because so much is going on and what you really need is an indicator of occupational mix!

To get the total income simply multiply the vector against the matrix as in matrix multiplication. What would you get from 'Lw'?
