One would hope to see that the methods of financial liberalization were at the root of the problem. If this does not come out then we as a society are no further ahead in understanding basic economics and will see continuation of errors of judgement stemming from a bad design and impractical original framework of the financial sector and its links to economic activity of the real sector over time.
