Does one have to be on any particular side? In the case of the Falkland Islands, the Marinas Islands distant to Argentina the fishing, settlement and mining issues are heated. The solution is, of course, a moratorium on development and a creation of an international preservation without commercial use other than is suffient for self sustenance of a smallish population. The idea that the islands resources are to be used as commercial enterprises is pretty outlandish and just an expression of competitive land grab mentality of large business! Put the conflict to rest and let no one cash in on these islands.
