Debt ceiling: With irresponsibility comes power | The Economist

Cut taxes as Bush did and raise debt when the tax cutting fails to raise taxes? The republican fiscal policy makes no mathematical sense. Have the Republicans lost their spreadsheet or are their algorithms flawed. Seems like grade two math that the Republicans failed to master!
