The thing occupying most of our minds is the frustration we feel for those being challenged around the world by events and circumstances over which they have little control. In Egypt, which has been like a jewel in the Arab world, we see that so many people want to share more actively in shaping the future there rather than being told what they can and cannot do, or think, or believe, or have.
It's not so much a question of religion because Egypt has evolved secularly into a leader of the Arab world and must take it's place in helping other Arab nations realise their dreams alongside Isreal, and despite Isreal. Change that comes through violence on the street happens suddenly to get authorities in power to wake up to new demands of governance, which include making a stand against what are really 'head in sand' reactions.
It's time to give Egypt to Egyptians and to stop denying that they are part of a world community that is evolving and must improve. Poverty is a real local issue as is the rights of women and children for education that that will give Egypt a leadership role. Time to wake up to the potentials for realising the dreams of a wonderful country.
