'Brainwashing' children with 'climate propaganda': what did Johnny Ball really mean? | Leo Hickman | Environment | guardian.co.uk

May be Johnny Ball saw the films for grade school but did not understand them. May be you need to think and research to understand what Al Gore is getting at. Perhaps, walking a glacier in the Canadian Rockies might help. It certainly brought the change home to me, and reinforced it when I walked a New Zealand glacier. They seem to be melting and so too are the ice flows that affect polar bears near Churchill, Canada. So watching school films on climate change is brain washing? I think its just getting a diversity of opinions. There is so much out there that says no climate change is occurring. Seal hunting films and films about whaling are propaganda until you realise they may contain a grain of evidence worth noting for the rest of one's life. Telling people that New Zealanders are interested in dung beetles is probably propaganda to Johnny (come lately)!

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth. ... more!
