Why ban of England Governor Carney's Present Policy is a Crock and What He Needs to do about It.
Governor Carney must be wondering what will be the effect of structural changes in the US on the housing market there. Two institutions supporting the housing market in the YS are about to close shop. If you don't know who they are you probably would not understand what I am about to say even though it is very straight forward.
The problem with banks, per se, in any number of countries is that they cannot properly manufacture the product that they are most keen on manufacturing, namely long term loans for people to buy houses. In order to sort out the maturity mismatch between a home purchase, they borrow short and this leads to banking crises and collapse. The money market is no better.
I think that I really do know how to sort this problem out and have the credentials to do so, but need an audience of people with the right bank management skills. If you have these and are willing to listen to me, we should have a summit to sort out the present imbalances in the banks balance sheets. Governor Carney's present approach will not do it and probably will make matters worse. Email me at wuhlax@gmail.com.
The problem is simply that savings to buy houses come out income and have little to do with interest rates.
Obviously banks that operate their balance sheet at the short end will have serious issues when it comes to maturity mismatch for home loans.
What if banks were require to hold a portion of long term bonds equivalent to their long home loans? Even if governments forced the practice, it would create a market over time in long term securities for home financing. Adjusting the proportion would allow the central bank to reduce the pressure of demand when necessary.
With time people might actually start saving out of real income again?
Putin and his future death! European court is not superior to UK supreme court, says Lord Judge | Law | theguardian.com
Curious competition of legal authorities could define the next steps in evolving concepts of democracy. Big question is whether Parliamentarians / voters can / should be held accountable in the future for voting a party line that is clearly wrong, mistaken, damaging. If you contribute directly by your vote to a death dealing process should you be held accountable? How accountable should employed individuals be relative to their employers?
In a world in which it is increasingly easy to monitor your every act, is it your responsibility to be responsible? The likelihood of a permanent record of all you do is approaching at a dizzyingly fast pace. Will it be controlled by a few billionaires like Putin or will individuals seize back their power to contribute to decision making and legal processes? Will the world go towards extreme centralisation of authority in which you can do what you like except question the powers at the centre or will people force a move towards shared responsibility in which everyone is accountable including those that inherit power?
It's not surprising Putin has a fortune of $50 billion compared with Obama's small earned income. This has enormous implications for the future of a Russia which allows Putin to be an oligarch. History tells us he will die a violent death and be purged away like the Kulaks of the earlier period in Russia history. A smart Putin would be more like Bill Gates and embrace his responsibilities to help others less fortunate, and do it spontaneously. Doubtful?
Putin is a super sap really, not a man!

The problem of health risk in economic decisions regarding cell towers and wireless telecommunication
I think that the interesting paper by Taleb about says it all.
Scientist Rips Apart The New York Times’ Coverage Of Climate Change - Business Insider
New York Times has the wrong people writing important stories with disastrous results and a weaker paper. Too bad, the NYT was at least accessible if wrong. Perhaps, that's the ticket, the more accessible you are the worse you potentially are? Though, not always!
Nassim Taleb On Economists - Business Insider
Oops! And, here I thought economists were just badly educated. It seems to me that Taleb is a bit of a 'yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look'. His comments on economists are amusing, but probably give them too much credit since I have yet to see an economist that is nothing other than an eloquent philosopher that produces words that others use to attain goals that have little to do with economics but are more in the sphere of politics / political spin.
Putin Reopens Soviet Arctic Military Base - Business Insider
He has $50 billion to hide from from fellow Russians. Being a government sponsored crook makes one's life comfortable, but the worry is that outsiders see what a social criminal Putin is. They tell Russians who naturally get angry with being lied to and cheated in an unfair predatory society. The vodka clouds brains and clear thinking.
Snowden appears to be a whistleblower on crimes and definitely NOT a traitor. He should be given a massive reward / pension not jailed
See whether you agree about who actually was committing crime big time and wanted the official secrets act level of obedience so that these crimes could not be revealed.
Bernie Madoff tells how he deceived people continuously over a long period
A little knowledge of statistics and no review process at all, helps fool people for decades.
If you don't think EMF radiations directly cause cancer, think again because it certainly could be your family that has hidden suscepability
Many people are dead because of EMF radiation from wireless devices in their neighbourhood or in their homes. This is an indisputable fact.
The medical field is in catchup phase, but you might say that anyone with a smattering of common sense would realise that loads of cancers are directly the result of invisible seemingly harmless radiation.
Only an unthinking idiot would now be so stupid as to think otherwise at this stage. Think and help save lives of innocents in your community, and it's everyone at risk.
ALL the warning signs are there and the world will see many people die directly because of needless radiation over which they have no control because it is indeed federally or locally government sponsored. Seems the government wants Canadians at least to be killed by the badly informed or the stupid reckless decisions of Canadians.
There are safe alternatives that need attention and implementation. Your own life is indeed at risk. And, although you might not yet acknowledge that fact. It is a fact. The world could be very much impacted by wireless technologies that seem harmless but are quite deadly to people in your community. Think of them.

EMF Radiation Probably Causes Cancer on an Epidemic Scale
Forwarded to me by email. You need to take this level of warning very seriously.
Below is the link to a 3-minute video of a November 2013 presentation by Dr. Anthony B. Miller in which he states his belief that wireless radiation would be classified "2A PROBABLE HUMAN CARCINOGEN" if it were evaluated today.
It is significant that Dr. Miller sat on the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) committee when IARC made the decision to classify radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (wireless radiation from any source) as a "Category 2B possible human carcinogen" (May 2011).

This clip is his presentation to Toronto Councillors two weeks ago at the City of Toronto Government Management Committee regarding the proliferation of increased density of wireless radiation emitted by cellular network towers/antennas installed below 15-metre height in Toronto.

Safe to instal cell towers in city: Ex-WHO official - The Times of India
The battle wages between alternative truths, but which is right.
We know where the money and deception incentive is.
Perhaps, the science from Sweden is more authoritative than what exWHO people who were bounced are saying.
They did delay awareness for a long long time already.
Those who have TV's should know that it is not a good idea to be exposed over night. That cancer source has also been established. We need to turn the TVs off, if only to stop listening to and seeing poorly prepared programming.

Concern across the globe as Swedish scientists discover / confirm strong links between cell phone use of only one year and high cancer risk.
These results for cancer risk are extraordinarily high. One would hope that people see sense as this makes the issue of worldwide intervention by the World Health Organisation very critical and law suits vastly more expensive for media, phone and government agencies who have created / contributed to this disaster.
There may even be a risk of an enormous financial bubble based on wireless assets that become valueless.
Sad that it is only now is being addressed by those with big big liabilities because of government and health authority stupidity.

Can each household become a business unit and end the energy pollution crisis?
Some are very pessimistic that only 20 per cent of our future energy by 2050 will be generated from fossil fuels.
With a strategy such as I present below, 'only' three things are really needed:
Ha!
1. There needs to be the political will to sort out what is arguably the greatest pollution crisis that has ever faced human-kind.
2. The appropriate total costs of using fossil fuels needs to be actually charged. This is already more the case in Europe than North America. Fossil fuel firms will try a last time profit grab by raising prices on sale of fossil fuels to those unwilling to give up, so a severe profits / income tax approach is needed to severely lower the after tax net revenues from sale of fossil fuels. This needs to be done worldwide through legislative action by all governments at every level. Rather than subsidising non fossil fuels, it is better to tax heavily the manufacture of fossil fuels for use and their actual use in the home.
In effect, some sources such as Alberta gas and shale oil, fracking etc. go out of business because they will be paying the right costs for their contribution to pollution. There will be no false profit incentive for fossil fuel development because the pollution costs will be factored in by governments. This puts the capitalist innovation profit incentive where it should be to develop non fossil non polluting fuel sources as the main vehicle for profit. The market itself will never do this. It has to be done by stronger POLITICAL action. The present pollution barter system is arguably a failure because it puts the profit incentives in the wrong places.
3. Every household should have the opportunity to place excess and stored energy on the national grid. By not taxing the profits from such non-fossil sales, there is an incentive to expand capacity at every level. The result will possibly be what we always have seen in agriculture when the household unit can make profit. We will see massive excess supply, but in this case not of the usual farm products but of energy products. Eventually this will drive out all but the most efficient large scale producers as the increasingly bigger firms seek profit from scaling upward.

Deflation Trap Tests Riksbank’s Resolve in Fighting Bubbles - Bloomberg
A new way to engineer a deeper depression on top of a deep depression?
Perhaps a good old style war would help, the economic policies don't seem to be working. A few secret treaties?
Property bubble fears persist as average house price surges £11k - Nationwide | This is Money
The greed cycle emerges with a vengeance destroying the UK economy and a new politics emerges out of the rubble.
Fears of London property bubble as house prices rise at fastest rate in three years - London - News - London Evening Standard
If you were a complete idiot you would think like Osborne. There is so much liquidity in the system that a recycle is INEVITABLE, and if anything like the Thailand bubbles be more spectacular than that of the earlier bubble recession / depression. It will make the 1930's seem like a picnic because no policy adopted so far treats the real issues of maturity mismatch and the bad capitalization of banks worldwide.
So be like Osborne and make the worst mistake of your career!
Bitumen bubble is back, says finance minister in Alberta, Canada
Is it possible the bubble will burst with the loudest of bangs after all the artificial job creation of road building repair worldwide subsides.

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth.
