Repeating bad econmic mistakes becomes a habit of learned desperation in Sidmouth Devon
Needless to say the old building was given to the community by someone who thought it was a way to preserve the site for posterity. But, who new what cronyism and local government could do to that vision. We witness it, but we can only vote with our numbers.
We forsee people unrelated to the original donor making a lot of money, but that is not growth nor development. It's corrupt activity and we should have a name for it. Why is our vocabulary about economics so poor. It's because the words in the language were invented by governments and local business, not by the admirer of appropriate action with regard to the use of a cummunities resources. Would the word be communism? No. Would the would be capitalism? No. What would it be?
It would be stewardship. Let our economy be stewarded in a way that describes what is good, fair, wholesome and benign.
You have to see the site to determine whether its growth or development or shere lunacy!
Yes! It is shere lunacy and should not be credited with the positive attribute of being economic growth or development. It is neither.
It's not even creative destruction. Perhaps it is a vulgar expression of cronyism or corruption!

Hi Bob! Do hope you enjoyed your birthday celebrations and sorry not to have met up with you all! I am sitting in Costa Coffee in Tiverton having been to the memorial armistice service! The church was full. Thought of Uncle Henry and later did some photos of the castle! Talked to people outside the church looking at the gargoyles and carvings. I am promoting natural products linking Wuh Lax to Wool. I explained the connection and gave an older lady a copy of The Cosmic Lantern. People always ask about the name Wuh Lax, so I tell them that Lax was the old word for salmon and that this got changed to lake which is where the salmon are caught, a stream. Then I explain Wuh as the origin of the name for wool. I start my official walk around tomorrow beginning at Wookey , Glastonbury, and Wells and will look in at my namesakes grave that of AWL the Bishop of B and W who arranged the translation of the King James Bible and reportedly was a lover of the king, in days when that was not ok, but heck the King was Lord! Thank you for following Wendy Hoy on her walk for ES to Ottawa. This probably means more than you realize.
Device manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple are or beginning to realize the implications of damage to people should the WHO be asleep at the wheel. They include warnings on new devices such as the new Galaxy, Galaxy camera and the iPhone and mention the SAR ratings for their devices. This is not an idle provision. It is based on very preliminary research showing how the body is susceptible to beam locators associated with WIFI. Unless turned off these are persistent emissions 24/7 which are like doses of the same sort of microwave energy particles emitted within your microwave oven.
Unfortunately, with cameras such as the Samsung Galaxy the likelihood of long intensive periods of radiation is more likely than with cell phone bursts. Data backup and dissemination to the cloud or users as in the case of movies requires either strong bursts or long streams. This is not good! The body absorbs energy at various levels and intensities. Some arrives because of charges associated with human DNA and it has been recorded that the DNA chromosomes are actually altered. That is because DNA is an electronic system that reaches into the quantum mechanical world.Scientists are studying the implications of this in how the body carries out cell development and reproduction. Wendy's walk is therefore extremely important not only for Canadians, but everyone within reach of a WIFI or cellular signal, which is almost everyone.

Obama wins?
After a closely contested election process my prediliction is that Obama wins because that is the only outcome that makes any sense to me! Mitt Romney has been a candidate that seems to change his position to capture votes. For some he is a very reasonable guy, but it would seem that the price he had to pay to get support from the money people deformed his character beyond recognition. He does so many about turns that it is hard to know what his predeliction really consists of!
