Have a solar roof to a car port or small wind turbine and store electricity during the day. Then overnight recharge your vehicle. Nothing could be simpler. 

Any excess can be used as and when needed to operate a home or be sold off to other users on the electrical grid. 

The grid itself can store and use electricity when needed. Days of peak use calculations for immediate generation will be history! 

Electricity will be readily available at very reasonable cost and the energy wars will evaporate as meaningless episodes in a cartel fraught history.
