Huge amounts of advertising and heavy charges detract from web sites being useful!

Electronic media is nothing like the real paper thing, yet many companies behave as though it is. Too much advertising and silly or poorly written content mar the average news site. Do they think we have zero IQ? Facing and zooming images are a great distraction and spoil the quiet read. IBooks and electronic readers are not so great as they are hyped up to be. They feel funny and don't quite match one's comfort zone.

And, so they should. My only concern is that sites that don't advertise and prepare good material consistently may get squeezed away. The problem with many apps and sites is the huge amount of advertising. You have to know that big names of yesterday will vanish as better free sites come on line with more interesting and catchy material that people can relate to and really want to read.

Go away stupid adverts!
