Does faith healing work?

In my opinion be it so humble!

We might wonder whether faith healing works. We know that good medicine works and knowledge works and sciences works, none always, and all, conditionally.

The simple answer is yes faith works, but not on demand, and conditionally, and only for some things, and these are not always the ones that kill you.

Faith healing is a conditional form of healing and is not based on proven medicine. Many people say it's crap, and with good reason since it is not a panacea. Nothing really is.

Faith healing requires faith both in the healer and the person wanting to be healed. That faith is that where two people are gathered together in God's name so shall he be there as well! It is the presence of the Almighty that is the condition that needs to be fulfilled. Without God's presence there is another form of healing taking place.

What does wikipedia say?

Alternatively, there is a stronger definition with that of people who rely totally on faith. That is not very wise! In even the simplest of cases God is not like a physician that can be relied on because you want to rely on God. It does not seem to make sense to assume such a relationship between one and God. It may happen, but it cannot be assumed in practice or in theory. Hoping is not the answer. You might think of others as working on behalf of God to further your healing. Have faith in your experts or yourself.

Who makes a big claim for getting it right with a mix of faith and un-common sense? Answer = Dr. Lorraine Day.

What do I think?

I would be just as quacky / whacky as Dr. Lorraine Day.

In my view, there are three main sources to every problem that predominate before the many other minor sources come into play. Seemingly, minor things can kill you as the series A Thousand Ways to Die shows us.

However, tackle the three main sources of a problem and you get pretty far down the road to solving the problem.

Dr Day is absolutely right to focus on mental attitude and the immune system. She is extraordinarily helpful on the road towards a solution to many illnesses.

Faith is a big part of mental attitude and your immune system and health relies on appropriate mental attitude. Obviously, if you are hit by an infectious disease, your mental attitude may not keep you well or even alive, but it will help in the process of dying compared to a situation where you had a bad mental attitude.

Many of us are blessed with a history of good fortune and this history comes because our parents were also helpful in our history. We are given many things and should be grateful for receiving them. Some are associated with good health.

For me, the question is whether one can up the odds of surviving health issues. Possessing a good attitude and pursuing independent lines of research may be all it takes. Others need specialists to help them being less fortunate and being in the wrong environment.

Your cell phone may be your worst enemy in the future because you chose to ignore warnings now! Don't take your good health for granted. Go out there and seek good health by asking questions.

It may be that a little faith in a higher power will heal your greatest health issues, if not your attitude towards God and being blessed with the only life you will ever remember!

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. It is eclectic, which means that it might consider just about anything from the simple to the extremely difficult. A scratch can be something that is troubling me or a short line on paper. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth. ... more!
