Secretary Treasurer Erica Bailey then presented some research she gathered by contacting a number of school boards around the province and surveying them on their use of Wi-Fi technology. Of the surveys she got back all said they had Wi-Fi at schools.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Radio Frequencies and the rise in AutismDr. Robert Kane suggests a link between exposure to radio frequencies and the rise in autism in his paper "A Possible Association Between Fetal/neonatal Exposure to Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Radiation and the Increased Incidence of Autism Spectrum Disorders". There are reasons to believe that Dr. Kane might be correct. The fact that mercury is out of vaccines and the rate is continuing to increase and has increased more or less in parallel to the increasing rate of exposure to high frequencies and emf is suggestive. As is the fact that the Amish Community has not experienced a similar increase in the rate of autism, according to this news story which blames vaccines for the difference - the Amish don't vaccinate. Prenatal and Postnatal Exposure to Cell Phone Use and Behavioral Problems in Children by Divan HA, Kheifets L, Obel C, Olsen J and published in Epidemiology on May 7, 2008 also links high frequency exposure pre and postnatally with learning difficulties.In the book "The Brain that Changes Itself" the author, Norman Doidge M.D., discusses the research of Michael Merzenich into brain plasticity. Merzenich has found that many of the symptoms of autism can be explained by the developing brain getting locked into an undifferentiated brain map prematurely. The book cites a study that found that continuous exposure to white noise could contribute to this happening in susceptible children. The mechanism is unlikely to be specific to noise and likely to be responsive to any exposure to large amounts of high frequencies (such as electrical pollution and transmitters). The book is fascinating and I highly recommend reading it. Merzenich has developed a treatment that is based on the premise of high frequency exposure. They have found it to be far more effective than they had originally hoped. The effectiveness would back up the link Kane suggests between autism and radiofrequency exposure since it targets developmental damage caused by the effects of high frequency exposure in susceptible individuals. The treatment Merzenich has developed is a special computer program. It very simple and aims a re-opening developmental windows and properly differentiating the portions of the brain involved. It has been far more successful than they had initially expected. By Alex Weber, The London Free PressFriday, October 19, 2012 8:07:00 EDT PM=For 20 years, Melissa Chalmers was a commercial pilot, flying around the world.But in March, the 44-year-old took sick leave — at a time when airports and hotels she frequented regularly as part of her job, increased their wireless coverage.That's because Chalmers suffers from a rare condition called electromagnetic hypersensitivity — electromagnetic waves emitted from cell towers, wireless devices and wireless routers were making her sick."The cockpit of the plane actually felt pretty good, but I was doing a lot of layovers and all of the hotels were upgrading their wifi," she said."Then they began updating wifi in all the airport terminals . . . and it became too much."Chalmers first noticed her condition two years ago when she was living in an apartment building near White Oaks in London close to three cellphone towers.She started feeling pressure in the head, had frequent dizzy spells and was nauseous. Her doctor diagnosed her with electromagnetic hypersensitivity, and the only treatment he could suggest was for Chalmers to move to an area with fewer cell towers.Chalmers moved to a forested community in Grand Bend, where the trees around her absorb most of the electromagnetic waves emitted by nearby towers.But, in September, Bell Canada built a tower just down the street from her, which it plans to turn on within the next month — meaning she'll have to find a new place to live.Dr. Riina Bray, medical director for the Environmental Health Clinic at Women's College Hospital in Toronto, says while the number of people living with the hypersensitivity in Canada is small — about 1% of the population — there are likely many people with varying degrees of the condition who don't know it.And with telecommunications companies rapidly expanding wireless coverage, Bray is concerned those with the hypersensitivity will have nowhere to go."This is a real situation," she said. "This is potentially a really big problem and needs to be researched and investigated."In 2011, the World Health Organization classified the radiation from all wireless devices, including cellphones, as possibly carcinogenic and called for more research.Health Canada has acknowledged the ruling but maintains there's no cause for immediate concern or policy change.But that's not good enough for Port Franks grandmother Wendy Hoy.Hoy is walking from London to Ottawa to rally the government to review industry guidelines on radiation exposure in Canada, after Bell Canada announced it was building a cell tower near the Port Franks marina.She's received support from many along the way, including former Microsoft Canada president Frank Clegg, who's building a new organization, Citizens for Safe Technology, that plans to provide consumer safety tips and scientific information about technology including cell towers, cellular phones and wireless Internet.Clegg says the government doesn't share this information effectively enough, despite a growing body of scientific evidence of safety issues.While Chalmers has been able to get her hypersensitivity under control since moving out of the city, she's fearful she'll have to move to the middle of nowhere to escape her symptoms."I'm very concerned. Worldwide interest is expected because the tower threatens an endangered species as well as the health local residents. There was no opt out opportunity given to residents so when the accounting of health risks are accounted as in many places across Canada only a change in Federal Government practice will mitigate damage. Bell claims it won't be responsible! This is a fundamental moral hazard issue whereby the corporate sector would expect the government to bail it out should cancer and other disease results from its implementation of a dangerous technology. Why do so many doctors feel the risks are infinitely greater than from smoking. You are living history as you will yourself see!
An agency of a national government, that of Canada, is wilfully promoting injury to its citizens and making money as it does so! This is all being done in the name of national development and is part of a nationalist government program! Have we not learned from history?

Professional pilot Melissa Chalmers has moved twice in 10 months to escape wireless radiation and worries she's running out of places to hide.The commercial pilot of 20 years is on sick leave. She suffers from sensitivity to electromagnetic waves — the invisible waves given off by almost everything electric, in particular, those emitted by communication towers that are popping up across Canada.Chalmers, who lives near Grand Bend on Lake Huron, may be moving again because of a new a cell tower not far from her forested home."They have put a tower up down the road. I'm just waiting for it to be turned on and then I will probably have to leave the home," she said.Chalmers first noticed, about two-and-a-half years ago when she lived in London, that the nausea she felt when she was in her apartment subsided when she left.Cellphones, cellphone towers, wireless internet routers, cordless phones and power lines have all been recognized as possible contributors to electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EMS), which is caused by significant exposure from radio waves.EMS symptoms include poor sleep, fatigue, headache, nausea, dizziness, heart palpitations, memory impairment and skin rashes.Dr. Riina Bray, medical director, Environmental Health Clinic, Toronto's Women College Hospital, is a leading physician on EMS and its symptoms."I'm just basically seeing more and more folks with electro hypersensitivity . . . there is a small fraction of the population who are hypersensitive and the WHO (World Health Organization) supports that phenomenon as being real," she told the Star."With the continuous onslaught of this stuff in our society it is very hard for these folks . . . to get better faster.""If I have to move again," Chalmers told the Star, "it will be three times since Christmas, so I am getting pretty tired of moving and I really don't know where I am going to go at this point."Critics say if Industry Canada, which has total control over telecommunications, has its way there will be no place for people such as Chalmers to live.Industry Canada did not respond to a Star request for an interview.Bray said the public should not have to prove harm. "It should be done by industry and government," she says.Municipalities that have tried to control the number and location of cells towers say Industry Canada has told them it would block any attempt to usurp its powers.The municipality of Lambton Shore near Lake Huron found out where it stood when it mused about creating a community, Port Franks, free of wireless radiation as did Oakville when it introduced its own protocol calling for a 200-metre setback."I went to that meeting in Oakville where it was discussed and it became very clear from Industry Canada and Health Canada that they were not going to change, they were not listening. They were there to dictate," said Frank Klegg, a retired Microsoft Canada president, who is now head of Citizens For Safe Technology (C4ST).Klegg said C4ST wants to work with the federal government to establish so-called white zones across the country where people who are sensitive to wireless radiation can seek refuge.Oakville Mayor Rob Burton said the federal government doesn't even consult the municipality on 95 per cent of the applications to erect cell towers and for the remaining 5 per cent he suggested the consultation is little more than lip service."What shocks me is the federal government pretending that we have a say," Burton said."Our protocol is designed to get us out of the line of fire . . . we have turned away seven or eight now (but) then the proponent then goes to Industry Canada (which) gives them the go-ahead," he said.
