Interesting reference to the fact of Obama's uncle helping to liberate Buchenwald camp years ago. Having visited the camp several years ago, which is near the very pretty city of Weimar, I wonder at the troops ever finding it. Apparently, the Americans at first when right by to Weimar. The fuller story is interesting. The camp is located in a beautiful forest and well hidden even from locals who would not necessarily know its presence seeing that most of the labour to build and operate the camp's extensive weapons facilities was of captured ally airmen and prisoners of war treated shamelessly to work them to death and torture many to get information about flights etc. the torture rooms looked like dreadful little hovels down dark steel strengthened corridors with no chance for escape. The smoke and smell of burning bodies would be clues, but even these operations were designed to hide the crimes ... One really has to wonder at the morality of the Republicans wasting this opportunity for peace ... as they most certainly will try ...

Sketches from scratches is a provocative blogspot that has grown out of the Wuh Lax experience. From a scratch comes a verbal sketch or image sketch of the issue or subject. Other sites have other stuff that should really be of interest to the broad reader. I try to develop themes, but variety often comes before depth.
