One could take the position that the American middle class is now so weakened and dispirited that democratic approaches through voting have been rejected by too many as useless. The danger might be that of. "Poor loser" to go on a destructive rampage imitating the status quo of power. "Don't ever give the competition an inch could be disastrous for many Americans who know the competition is uneven and who might just decide a home grown American nihilistic style revolution is justified in desperation." In any event, victory may not ultimately be as sweet as it seems...
