This is why Starbucks employees always spell your name wrong : The Loop

"Seriously, who spells Michael with a "Y"?

We've definitely all been there: It's early in the morning. You're tired. You're in Starbucks, eagerly awaiting the arrival of your favourite caffeinated beverage — your only escape from the 9-5 woes — when it happens.

"Nykal"

Seriously? Not Micheal. Not Mike. Not Michelle even — freaking Nykal. It's the kind of rage that'll make you want to throw your hot beverage right over the counter (but seriously, don't do that).

So why does it keep happening? Why do Starbucks employees seem to ALWAYS spell your name wrong? The answer, according to this "barista", is that they're doing it all on purpose.
