Why is the current sunspot cycle so weak? Why is it a good thing?

If you look at the data from NASA you will see that the peak for present cycle has not been as high as for the previous period. This while the sun is at its peak activity it is generally cooler over the current eleven year period! This means that we have relief from earthly warming for our current period...
