FROM MY DESK
I began Wooh's blogspot in November 2007 during a coffee break from my painting and sketching. Since then I have prepared over 200 blog pages, and blogging, the daily writing that I do, covers a broad range of topics. Over several years, I have established myself as a struggling author of books for all ages. My pen name is AW Lake, and my friends call me Arthur, or Art.
Over many years, I used to work behind desks in offices in buildings in big cities. This I exchanged for the joy of independent painting and sketching in a rural area away from the madding crowd. Increasingly, I have done writing for pleasure. I read a lot, and when I do I enjoy reading complete series of books, such as the Hary Potter series by JK Rowling, or the Captain Aubrey series by Patrick Obrien. I am reasonably well educated believing in continuing education as a rule of thumb. I have not always studied for degrees, but for the acquisition of new skills and for the joy of learning.
