LED Lightbulbs with an Almost Infinite Life

They are here in Canada in Walmart stores and you can buy them for about $13 a bulb that runs cold and lasts almost for ever (100,000 hours is an understatement). It is an amazing technological story that has the promise that it can save the earth if we all act now and replace our existing light bulbs with LEDs as they come on stream. The fluorescent replacements to incadescent are a big improvement, but the LEDs are the 'major' leap forward.

The fun thing about LEDs is that they can be programmed with artificial intelligence to assume almost any colour of light imaginable and you don't risk the burning your house down. For pennies a year, you can light your home. Can you imagine how this technology will transform our world!
