Cudding is what cows do, namely chewing on something verbally. Chewing one's cud is a good way to relax. Just take your time and mull something over as you chew gently. Have you ever seen cows chewing. They take their time, just like you do on the beach. In fact, a very good place to chew one's cut is lying out in the sun on a soft sandy beach with nothing to do other than chew away quietly to yourself.
I live by a field and used to have 16 largish friends, cows. The thing that I enjoyed most about interacting with these cows was the very soft way they accepted me as something that was part of their very enjoyable world. The greatest saddness came when they vanished from the field, along with the badgers, the rabbits and the foxes. The crows remained as did the field mice, but many of the locals just vanished.
