Canadian Political impressions
I used to think the Progressive Conservative Party was good, but they now have unCanadian policies and focus on rubbish!
The NDP now has an amazing leader and I wish them well.
It is important that the Liberal Party regain a majority in Federal Parliament based on Canadian thinking.
I don't want the Conservatives to win another election for a hundred years and believe that I have very good reasons for this. Their leadership is glaringly deficient and seems about as unCanadian as we could have!
What are they thinking?
Matisse impression
Bob!
I have started the Matisse impression and include some images below! It's possible that I have figured out 80 percent of his paint mixes. Starts with old reliables then increases the colours using ones already used mixed in! That's how he tones down the orange. The yellow and blue can be used to create the green with different hues. He then used some old equivalent to a Payne's grey, or mix of something like titanium white and Mars black. Modern colours are so much less effort.
Image below is background to test colours. Loads of fun and must stop myself from getting carried away!

Cell Tower Radiation in Residences and Residential Areas – Effecting Health of Children
Bev!
Congratulations on Minister Paradis's actions to stop the exportation of asbestos. Perhaps, he might focus now on our imports of those wireless radiation devices whose operation constitute long term health hazards, effect premature ageing, and lead to abortive cell division.
Have you wondered why the Ontario landscape looks as ugly as it does or are you under the illusion it is still beautiful and bountiful. Just count the tall trees which are disappearing like the tall masters of yesteryear, like in some parallel Greek tragedy of tomorrow.
Who is listening or taking notice of the negative experience of EMF elsewhere around the world? When does concern turn to action and prevention, or do you believe the message is mythological and the causal linkages imaginatively immaterial?
My operative model says that we need to begin to think of all forms of radiation as hazardous especially as we send people into outer space and across the world in metal boxes that resemble microwave ovens.
Psychologists tell us you don't perceive negative changes that progress slowly. Look around you as an artist would!
Ultra violet sun beds are now considered cancer risks as is artificial ultra violet light.
EMF radiation goes right through you, but is known to alter chromosome numbers/members in DNA and cell environment of telomeres that affect the ageing and cell division processes so important to all forms of life.
There is a reason why nuclear waste is stored in salt. It's damage occurs so rapidly we notice it. We do not notice ultra violet light damage so much except that it costs us megabucks replacing carpets and all forms of natural materials. Our health system costs mega mega bucks a people suffer from thousands of pollutants that directly result from bad environmental choices.
Do we want our children to live in a world without life?
Your carpet ages in the sun. You age in the sun. You also age from within because of radiation. We see it in the case of nuclear energy and radar, but ignore it in the case of communications technology. Makes no long term sense!
Free us from ageing too rapidly or dying painfully.
Experiential thoughts,
Arthur Lake

RF Cell Towers and EMF Radiation affects Evolution
It used to be cosmic rays, but now we have cellular RF radiation unleashing forces that will hasten evolutionary change. Ever wonder how evolution occurred? The amount of water in your system is a distinct disadvantage in evolution towards smaller and smaller creatures apart from those living in water or in caves. Would human beings survive better as one inch tall beings? That would certainly save resources. Problem with RF radiation is that it can go right through you. Creatures in caves might survive. Ever wonder why humans have little hair?

How President Obama (and Paul Krugman) Set Off One House Republican's "B.S. Meter"
I love to read people's reactions to economics. It is such a complex field with a host of views. Perhaps, all economists need several economic history courses and good histories of economic thought.

What is needed in Ontario is a safe residential area for those who suffer from EMF / RF microwaves
No not too far away from people!
Being next to a Provincial Park an EMF free zone in Port Franks would not only be prudent but help protect the birthing process of natural life (including humans, who are yet to understand the associations between advanced media technology and damage to birth .... Something you would think the churches would say more about ... Go to church in some cities and have your DNA scrambled?)
Pathetic protest to reverse an irreversible decision by otherwise thoughtful people!
Who cares? Who watches over our residential areas and forests? Apparently, the numbers are so small as to be very worrying for the future of Ontario as a diverse habitat!
The new threat you can see, but very few understand or foresee the liabilities and the consequences and least of all Minister Paradis in his comfortable Ottawa office!
Freezing cold wind from the North!
Can you see my eagle with its enormous wingspan?
Crows were annoyed that this big bird just swooped down and just grabbed a fish from the cold waters of the Provincial park here at the Pinery near Port Franks, Ontario! Picking away on a branch with a largish crow wanting to be rid of this intruder. Yes, and so it seems the silent majority of human beings that permit such intrusion into parklands.
Problem for the future of these creatures are the new sophisticated cell towers near the park that may result in few eggs and hatchlings, certainly over the long period! Not sophisticated enough in foresight nor technology when Bell Canada wants their cake and to eat it too! Who said the media cared for our natural world?
We see deterioration of the habitat of wild creatures, but we don't foresee what hurts them the most, which is really what is needed to help them thrive. It is we who are ignorant of the hidden necessities for sustainable and diverse habitats.
Rallying for an ERA | Local | News | Sarnia Observer
You see some pretty sophisticated expensive looking equipment on the new new new Port Franks tower. What you don't see is the resident eagle being chased by angry crows. The big issue is that the tower sits proximate to residences and rare natural life.
Yes! In my view both human and natural life will die prematurely because of the cell tower's beacon silently and invisibly emitting radiation that gives no rest to life. When we see the long term effects, which will be like three D erosion of growth or the effect of steady ultra violet light on the colour of our carpets in sun light, we will begin to see why we die prematurely. Forget all the omega 3 diets, the technologists have discovered how to offset that with constant radiation eating away at our genetic material from the inside. Our leaves generate more slowly, our tadpoles struggle more to just be born, our rare species just disappear quietly and silently as if they never existed.
Ontario residents hardly notice how much the natural growth of their once beautiful world has eroded over the past fifty years. Who cares? Who is watching?
I think we are not very smart at all, which means for me that we use technology to soften our perceptions of how rapidly we are destroying the many wonderful landscapes and habitats of creatures we scarcely ever notice!
Bye, bye Ontario! You were so beautiful, but less and less.....

Someone at NBC Is Embarrassed By Jay Leno's Latest Jokes
Talk of giving Jay an early push surfaced again because of his recent pointed jokes concerning NBC's rating performance etc.
Leno is Leno not Leno controlled by stifling NBC oversight. That's the way we baby boom viewers like it!
Leno has always had my respect because he was not afraid to crack jokes about his bosses. Wouldn't most people like to do that and about their own bosses.
So maybe this is an individual performance issue and Leno struck a nerve. NBC could do better, but its hard to see how the tonight show could be improved.
Personally, I really would not watch Fallon if he were moved to an earlier time to replace Leno. Would not be the first time NBC made a big mistake.
