Now is obviously the time to remove the enormous subsidies going to the fossil fuel sectors and push hard for greater transport efficiencies. The transport sector needs investment in electrification services which is not happening from the private sector. Would that the Republicans understood economics in Congress. Keystone focus is a red herring and not viable economics if reductions in fossil fuel use is achieved.
