America is not Israel and should not let itself be drawn into a war that is pre-emptive because Israel decides to go down that route.

Should Iran act pre-emptively then America should still go the UN route!

The security council would react differently in the case of international conflict compared with a civil war.

More problematic is the deplorable way that the Iran authorities treat their own minorities.
