George Orwell, "Politics and the English Language," 1946

This is worth reading lest we forget how powerful words and symbols can become. Hidden in our own psyche and genetic material are the unknown forces of language that like sleeping dragons can consume our consciousness as easily as a train racing across in front of us.

Time is, was and will be. Without time we would not be. What a load it has to carry! Time seems eternal! You might even ask whether cycles in time exist? If so read Roger Penrose's book on new attitudes in physics towards possible "Cycles in Time".
