Capital Gazette - Our say: Newly powerful Republicans have a choice

"In a famous essay, the scholar Isaiah Berlin used a fragment from an ancient Greek poet — "The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing" — to outline a way you can categorize all human beings, politicians included. Over the next four years much will depend on whether in electing new Gov. Larry Hogan, new County Executive Steve Schuh, five new state legislators and three new County Council members, county voters have picked officials who act more like hedgehogs or more like foxes. Hedgehogs can run the most effective campaigns, but foxes are better at government."
